On a beautiful day in November, the University of New Haven (UNH) welcomed over 700 students and their families to campus for an Open House. This event was one of many highlights for Welcome to College in 2012. It was an opportunity to not only work with one of our great partner institutions, but we also got to introduce UNH and their visitors to MARV, our Mobile Automated Research Vehicle.
We love sharing MARV’s story , but it is always hard to truly capture the personality and energy that comes from experiencing MARV in person. When UNH requested that MARV come to campus we knew we were in for a great day! University of New Haven is a leader in experiential education and with MARV on campus UNH visitors got a chance to interact with MARV. While the event ended at 2 p.m. we were on campus with staff and students until almost 5 p.m.! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to partner with incredible institutions like UNH.
There are not enough words to describe the engagement and fun we had on campus for this event, so we’ve put together a short video to share MARV’s impact and the ability to leave lasting impressions with visitors. Having MARV out on the road is always an adventure, but we believe it adds a unique value to on-campus programs as well, and we hope UNH had as much fun as we did!
